Hong Kong Business Association of Hawaii (HKBAH) was formed in January 1996 as an IRC 501(c)(6) non-profit politically neutral organization. Our mission is to provide a bridge in facilitating trade, investment, and business opportunities between Hawaii and Hong Kong, China and its neighboring regions in order to enhance our separate commercial and investment environments for mutual benefit. We endeavor to accomplish our mission by pursuing the following goals:

  • To provide networking opportunities among members, and between members and persons with business interests in the target communities.
  • To provide a forum for exchange of business and trade information and overall understanding among and between Hawaii/United States, Hong Kong/China and its neighboring economic regions.
  • To promote and maintain the international business role and image of Hong Kong and Hawaii.
  • To create value-added benefits for our members.

Postponement of the May 27th Workshop III
Because of current uncertainties in the tourism industry, we have decided to postpone the HKBAH Workshop on "Competing for the Chinese Tourist" scheduled for May 27, 2009, to later this year. Planning in process for revitalizing Hawaii tourism should enable greater clarity. We will post a new date as soon as one has been selected and additional speakers for the panel confirmed. Please e-mail frances@hkbah.org if you want to be placed on the mailing list to receive the new Workshop date and flyer.
