(Left) Almost 200 guests attended in this year banquet, including Miss Hawaii USA, Miss Hawaii Teen USA, Miss Chinatown USA, Miss Chinatown Hawaii, and Narcissus Queen. (Right) Our Honorary Member, Dr. Lawrence Tseu was one of the first guests who believed the Chinese tradition and brought a lucky calligraphy art at the event.

(Left) An original Hawaii oil painting valued at $4,000 was donated by Martin & MacArthur Company, were the center piece of the silent auction for this year's banquet. (Right) A traditional lion dance blessing celebration was performed at the beginning of the program by the Wah Ngai Lion Dance Association; President Barinna Poon, Director Philip Wang and Former Congressman Edward Case on stage together presented a laisee to the Lions.

(Left) President Barinna Poon accepted the Congratulatory Message from Mr. Kirk Caldwell, Managing Director, City & County of Honolulu on behalf of Mayor Mufi Hannemann, and (Right) Senator Brickwood Galuteria who presented a Proclamation from the Hawaii State Senate after the official swearing in.

(Left) A Tibetan dance was performed by "The Good Friends Singing & Dance Club"; and (Right) Kristen Kop, a 6-year old was one of the 3-violin performers who were performed at the dinner.

(Left) Mr. Edward Case, Esq., Former U.S. Congressman was our keynote speaker at the banquet; and (Right) Tina Chau, KGMB9 TV News Reporter was our Mistress of Ceremonies.

(Left) Director-General Philip Wang, Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Honolulu presented the 'Oi Kelakela Award to Dr. Lawrence Tseu for his extraordinary role and sponsorship at the "Night to Remember" - 08.08.08. event in 2008; the event was a celebration of the Beijing Olympics grand opening and a fundraising dinner for the Special Olympics Hawaii. (Right) Karen Poon (2nd left), this year grand prize winner, was awarded a round trip ticket to Hong Kong sponsored by China Airlines and a "Symphony of Lights Harbor Cruise" sponsored by the Hong Kong Tourism Board. Karen accepted the prizes on stage with Karen Pau, Sales Manager, China Airlines, Donna Ts'o, Immediate Past Chair, and Hamilton Liu, General Manager of China Airlines.
